Drink Water On Empty Stomach

It is popular in Japan today to drink water immediately after waking up every morning. Furthermore, scientific tests have proven its value. We publish below a description of use of water for our readers. For old and serious diseases as well as modern illnesses the water treatment had been found successful by a Japanese medical society as a 100% cure for the following diseases:
Headache, body ache, heart system, arthritis, fast heart beat, epilepsy, excess fatness, bronchitis asthma, TB, meningitis, kidney and urine diseases, vomiting, gastritis, diarrhea, piles, diabetes, constipation, all eye diseases, womb, cancer and menstrual disorders, ear nose and throat diseases.

METHOD OF TREATMENT
1. As you wake up in the morning before brushing teeth, drink 4 x 160ml glasses of water
2. Brush and clean the mouth but do not eat or drink anything for 45 minute
3. After 45 minutes you may eat and drink as normal.
4. After 15 minutes of breakfast, lunch and dinner do not eat or drink anything for 2 hours
5. Those who are old or sick and are unable to drink 4 glasses of water at the beginning may commence by taking little water and gradually increase it to 4 glasses per day.
6. The above method of treatment will cure diseases of the sick and others can enjoy a healthy life.

The following list gives the number of days of treatment required to cure/control/reduce main diseases:
1. High Blood Pressure (30 days)
2. Gastric (10 days)
3. Diabetes (30 days)
4. Constipation (10 days)
5. Cancer (180 days)
6. TB (90 days)
7. Arthritis patients should follow the above treatment only for 3 days in the 1st week, and from 2nd week onwards – daily.

This treatment method has no side effects, however at the commencement of treatment you may have to urinate a few times.

It is better if we continue this and make this procedure as a routine work in our life. Drink Water and Stay healthy and Active.

This makes sense .. The Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with their meals ..not cold water. Maybe it is time we adopt their drinking habit while eating!!! Nothing to lose, everything to gain...

For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you.
It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion.

Once this "sludge" reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine.
Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.

A serious note about heart attacks:
• Women should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting,
• Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line.
• You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack.
• Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms.
• 60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up.
• Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know, the better chance we could survive...

12 Tips For Overcoming Anxiety

Anxiety in various forms and degrees seems to be a wide spread problem, affecting people of all ages and in every country.

If you are prone to anxiety you have two options:

A) Give in to it.
B) Learn to overcome it.

By giving in you will continue to suffer and feel unhappy, stressed and anxious. It is far better to learn to overcome anxiety or at least reduce its power.

Anxiety just wastes your time and energy and weakens you mentally and physically. You help no one and don't solve any problem by being anxious. Our planet will go on revolving, even if you stop worrying and being anxious.

Always know you have a choice - to give in to anxiety, or try to overcome anxiety, at least partially.

Here are 12 tips for alleviating and overcoming anxiety:

1. Lack of control over your thoughts strengthens your anxiety. As negative thoughts get stronger and stronger, your anxiety gets stronger. You need to learn to control your thoughts.

2. Feelings and emotions fuel and strengthen anxiety. You need to learn some self discipline and control over your feelings, and you also need to develop emotional and mental detachment.

3.When you go to bed at night, and first thing when you wake up in the morning, think about the good things that are happening to you. There are always some good things happening, even if small and insignificant.

4. Start the day with several minutes of positive affirmations. Tell yourself how would like your day to be. Use positive, cheering and motivating words.

5. Be busy, do something. By doing anything you keep your mind off your anxiety. When you wake up in the morning start doing something right away, and keep busy all day. Cleaning the house, washing the dishes or working in your garden, reading, studying, exercising your body or and meditating can help you keep your mind away from anxiety. Just sitting around and thinking about your problems and worries won't make them go away.

6. Set a goal and work everyday to achieve it. This action will direct your thoughts and feelings away from worries and anxieties, toward something more positive.

7. Talk about your anxieties to someone you trust. Talking about your anxieties and feelings often alleviate them and put them in the right proportions, provided you talk objectively, and with a real desire to reduce or get rid of your anxiety.

8. Exercising is a good way to keep from letting your fears overwhelm you. You can walk, do yoga or aerobics or any other sport.

9. Find reasons to laugh. This will bring light and happiness into your life and drive anxiety away. Watch comedies, be with happy and amusing friends or read something that makes you laugh.

10. Use positive words in your conversation and in your inner talk.

11. Affirm and visualize positive situations and events. Visualize a happy and positive solution to your problems.

12. If watching the news fills you with anxiety - turn off the TV! Limit the time you watch the news, and don't watch anything that may upset you before you go to bed.

Life made Easy

1. Get your laundry extra clean - Old friends are spending the weekend at your house, and you want to make sure your towels and linens look and feel like new. Skip the pricey fabric softener and simply add ½ cup baking soda directly to the rinse cycle. Baking soda softens fibers, rids clothing of detergent residue and deodorizes, so linens come out fresh as a daisy.

2. Stop annoying bug bite itch fast - in a small bowl mix 1 tbs baking soda with enough water to form a thick paste. Apply a thin layer over the itchy area and let dry before rinsing off. The baking soda draws out and neutralizes the inflammatory agents injected by mosquitoes and other pests to provide instant relief.

3. Fix small plaster cracks in a snap - The other day, you saw some cracks in the white plaster wall around a light switch. But you know you won’t have time to spackle and repaint any time soon. To temporarily fill them in, make a paste by mixing equal parts white glue and baking soda. Then work this “plaster” into the cracks with a Popsicle stick and smooth.

4. Erase a secret source of bathroom smells - Even though you pride yourself on keeping your bathroom spotless, a buildup of hydrogen sulfide deep in your toilet tank can still give off unpleasant (and embarrassing) odors. Fortunately, you can combat the smelly culprit with minimal effort. Simply flush 1 cup baking soda down the plumbing once a week. The sodium bicarbonate helps maintain proper pH and alkalinity to keep sulfide odors in check, so the room will smell as clean as it looks.

5. Deodorize plastic storage containers - To ensure your food always smells inviting, try this easy remedy; After washing the container as usual, sprinkle 2 tbs baking soda on a folded paper towel, place inside and seal the lid. Let sit overnight to absorb lingering odors.

6. Restore hair’s natural shine - Mix a quarter size amount of baking soda into a squirt of your favorite shampoo, then lather your lock and rinse as usual. The slightly abrasive particles scrub away the product buildup that dulls shine, leaving your mane clean and glossy.

7. Prolong the life of a battery - Since baking soda is a mild alkali, it has the power to neutralize built-up oxidation. To make it work for you, first disconnect the battery posts. Next, make a paste of three parts baking soda to one part water and carefully apply with a damp cloth to dissolve surface corrosion. After rinsing with warm water, give the battery posts a swipe with petroleum jelly before reconnecting.

8. Wipe away stubborn coffee mug stains - All too often, pesky brown rings linger inside your favorite mugs and teacups even after a cycle through the dishwasher. To the rescue : a wet cloth sprinkled with 1 tsp. Baking soda. Simply rub over the stains in a circular motion. The particles friction polishes away marks, leaving cups looking as good as new.

9. Clear caked on microwave splatters - To eliminate the mess in a jiffy, combine 2 tbs. Baking soda and 1 cup water in a mug and “zap” it in the microwave for two minutes. The steam from the water condenses on the walls to loosen dried on gunk. Then, once the mixture is cool enough to work with, just dip a sponge in the solution and give the appliance’s interior a quick once over. The abrasiveness of the baking soda helps wipe away every last spot.

10. Freshen up your pooch in a pinch - Next time Fido starts smelling less than sweet, skip the hassle of getting him into the tub and treat him to a “dry shower” instead. To do : catch him when he’s outside and sprinkle ½ cup baking soda on his coat. Brush the powder through his fur, letting the particles fall to the ground. The baking soda quickly absorbs excess oil and odors, leaving your pet fresh enough to snuggle with again.

Perfect Moisturizer for Your Skin Type

Soft, supple skin depends on moisturizers to keep it smooth and sexy. Consider your skin type and how your skin responds to different skincare products when choosing an appropriate product for you. Whether your skin is young or mature, oily, dry, sensitive, or a combination of these, the perfect moisturizing solution for you is out there.

Skin Types
While we all need moisturizers, different skin types tend to benefit best from certain moisturizing products that are created with specific skin types in mind. Varying skin types also call for different frequency of moisturizing.

The most common skin types include dry skin, oily skin, combination skin, and sensitive skin. Read on to match your skin type to an effective moisturizing regimen.

Dry Skin
With constant exposure to the elements – sun, wind – or chemicals like chlorine, skin can become dry without warning. Skin that does not produce the right amount of natural oils also becomes dry. It is best to moisturize dry skin heavily with an oil-based moisturizer. When skin returns to its normal condition, decrease the frequency of moisturizing as desired.

Oily Skin
Even oily skin can be soft, smooth, clean, and beautiful with the right skincare routine. Caring for oily skin is frustrating, but the proper combination of cleansing, exfoliating, toning, and moisturizing makes all the difference. For skin that is excessively oily, a gentle and oil-free moisturizer works best. Also try water-based moisturizers to avoid adding any additional oils to the skin.

Combination Skin
Combination skin can be oily, normal, or dry, all at once or one or the other at random. Care for combination skin with a varied routine. Moisturize frequently with an oil-based moisturizer when skin is dry. When skin takes on an oily texture, switch to a water-based, gentle moisturizer. If skin shows signs of both types, seek a moisturizer made especially for combination skin.

Sensitive Skin
Because skin is sensitive to different cleansers, chemicals, and naturally occurring elements, the best approach to caring for sensitive skin is a gentle one. For the best care and protection, pick moisturizers that are fragrance-free and hypoallergenic. Use as needed.

Top ten habits of CONFIDENT WOMEN

The 10 Habits of Confident Women
BY MARY K. MOORE AND ROSE MARTELLI

You know this woman. When she walks into a room, people take notice. They listen to her. They laugh at her jokes (even the dumb ones). So what makes her so special? Was she born under a lucky sign? Or is there something else that separates "she who gets" from "she who gets it all"? You bet there is. It's major confidence. Women who have it, know it. If you don't, click on the links below to gain their skills.

1. Make a great entrance

"For a truly graceful entrance, check your self-consciousness at the door. There is an ease that comes from being comfortable in your own skin. Hesitation can mar even the most elegant premiere. If you don't know a soul, head toward a person near the back of the room. Chances are you'll find a friendly face along the way."
--Nancy Friday, author of Our Looks, Our Lives

2. Work the room

"You first must learn to overcome mingle-phobia. Psych yourself up to enter a room. Then make your move. If you don't know anyone at the gathering, walk up to a group, smile widely, introduce yourself and say: 'I don't know a soul at this party. Can I join you guys?' This usually gets a warm, sympathetic reception, and people chat you up immediately."
--Miss Mingle (a.k.a. Jeanne Martinet), author of The Art of Mingling

3. Recover gracefully

"If you forget someone's name: Remember that this kind of thing happens to people all the time, confident or not, so don't be too embarrassed. First, admit to forgetting the person's name. Second, slap the palm of your hand to your forehead in mock horror and say, 'I can't even remember my own mother's name!' At this point, the other person will surely remind you of their name. Then simply say, 'I promise never to forget it again,' and move on."
--Etiquette expert Letitia Baldrige, author of Letitia Baldrige's Complete Guide to the New Manners for the '90s

4. Tell a great story

"Avoid phrasing your story as a joke. People think when they tell stories they have to get to a punch line, but punch lines are not in themselves amusing. You should have a deep personal interest or investment in your story ‑- it should be either profoundly moving or profoundly funny. The story needn't have happened to the storyteller, so long as the storyteller is also deeply moved by what she's recounting. Remember which details are important. Gesturing is fine so long as it comes about naturally, but a good story well told and full of conviction needs little adornment. The words are what's most important."
--Malachy McCourt, author of A Monk Swimming

5. Stay calm

"If you have a lot of nervous energy you need to get rid of, do a quick burst of aerobic activity, like jumping jacks. Then get focused. Find a quiet spot to be alone and take a few breaths before you walk into the room. Then take another slow, relaxing breath once you've entered and taken your place in front of everyone. You won't lose their attention ‑- when you're standing right in front of them, that's impossible. Then smile. People buy things from and listen to people who smile at them."
--Valerie Adami, director of programming at Weist-Barron School of Television Acting in New York

6. Ask for a raise

"Casually say to your boss at the start of the day, 'I'd love a minute of your time today,' letting him or her choose when you will meet. When you're face-to-face say, 'I really enjoy this job and working for you' and list the specific contributions you've made recently. Then take the plunge: 'Do you think you might consider giving me a raise?' Don't speak in specific numbers unless asked. End the conversation with 'Please don't feel pressure to answer right away.' This lets your boss feel in control and perhaps especially generous when she offers you that raise in a couple of days' time."
--Lauren Wiesenthal, partner at the New York legal search consulting firm Corrao, Miller, Rush, & Wiesenthal

7. Be a good haggler

"The key to getting a fair deal is to first do your homework. Pick up an issue of Consumer Reports, talk to friends, look for any information that will give you the inside scoop on what the item you want really is. Always ask for a little more or offer a little less than your limit. If you have doubts, take a night to think it over."
--Michael Donaldson, author of Negotiating for Dummies

8. Overcome fear

"Fear is a lot like pain ‑- it's your guide to pinpointing what's bothering you. After I blew out my knee in a crash while training for a competition, jumps scared me, so I had to learn to replace my fear with a strategy. The best way I've found is to rehearse the situation in your head and mentally walk your way up to the point where you feel the fear most intensely. Next, shift to something very calming (for me, it's a beach at sunset) and as you do a mental run-through, breathe out, physically relaxing your body. Then imagine yourself going through the motions flawlessly while your body and mind are relaxed. In essence, you're conditioning your mind to replace fear with success."
--Picabo Street, Olympic skiing champion

9. Don't be intimidated

"Stop all the negative thoughts in your head, then visualize yourself pushing the other person 100 feet away from you. Imagine him or her as being very small and in black and white. This will immediately reverse any feeling of inferiority. Once you've mentally laid the groundwork, you want to be the first person to say something so that the conversation is in your control. Don't say anything competitive or defensive; instead, ask something personal like 'How is your family?' Be sincere and it will probably throw off the other person's power-tripping ways."
--Anankha K. Chandler, certified hypnotherapist and author of Therapist in a Box: Emotional Healing

10. Tell a joke

"Never announce that you're about to tell a joke; it sets expectations too high and there's a better chance you'll fall flat. The joke should stem naturally from the conversation, so that people get sucked in before they even know you're telling it. Whether you're telling something that happened to a friend or something that happened last month, always say something like 'on the way over here' instead and make them believe it just happened to you. People will get more emotionally invested when it's more immediate. If your joke brings the house down, don't press your luck with another one. Always leave them wanting a little bit more."
--Tom Hertz, comedian and Emmy Award-winning writer for Dennis Miller Live

Simple Yoga

The most important relationship between women and yoga is that the latter prepares them for a healthy lifestyle while simultaneously conditioning their mind.

CAN ALL WOMEN PRACTISE YOGA?

Yes, any woman keeping normal and good health can practise yoga. Of course, they will have to take into consideration their age, physique and regular activities at home and outside.

HOW IS YOGA BENEFICIAL FOR WOMEN?

Yoga can be especially beneficial for women. Superfluous flab can be cut down and the body developed symmetrically. Yoga improves figure, imparts energy, and relieves stress.

Here's easy exercises that bring flexibility to your spine and rejuvenate your brain:

Lotus Pose (Padmasana)

Excellent meditation pose. Helps you relax, be more comfortable and alert .Sit on the floor in an easy crossed- leg pose. Clasp hold of your left foot with both hands and bring it high onto the right thigh, up into the groin. Bring the right leg over the left and place the right foot in the left groin. This is the full Lotus Yoga Asana. Uncross your legs and try it on the other side. To avoid becoming confused about which leg goes where, remember that the leg you uncross first is the first leg to cross on the second side.

Mountain Pose (Tadasana)

Promotes experience of stillness, strength, relax power, and immovable stability. The position has two primary lines of energy radiating outward from your center: one line moving upward through the spine and one line downward through the legs. Your hips will be in cat tilt.

Triangle Pose (Trikonasana)

Laterally stretches the spine, tones spinal nerves, helps in the proper functioning of the digestive system. Makes the body feel lighter. Stand with your feet well apart (about 3-4 feet). Point your left foot to the left, and your right foot slightly to the left. Stretch your arm out at shoulder level and bring the right arm straight up, against your right ear. Now inhale. As you exhale, bend to the left and slightly forward to bypass your ribs. Slide your left hand down your left leg and hold on to the lowest part you can reach. Look out at your right hand. Take several full breaths in this position before releasing it. Repeat, bending to the right.

Tree Pose (Vriksha-asana )
Regular practice of this posture will help focus the mind and cultivate concentration (dharana). Stand with the feet together and the arms by your sides (see the tad-asana.) Bend the right leg at the knee, raise the right thigh and bring the sole of the right foot as high up the inside of the left thigh as possible. Balancing on the left foot, raise both arms over the head keeping the elbows unbent and joining the palms together. Hold the posture while breathing gently through the nostrils for about 10 complete breaths. Lower the arms and right leg and return to the tad-asana, standing position with feet together and arms at the sides. Pause for a few moments and repeat on the opposite leg.

Single Leg Raise
Prepares the body for asanas. Strengthens the abdominal and lowerback muscles, trims the waist and the thighs. Inhaling, raise the right leg as high as possible; then exhaling, lowers it. Repeat with the left leg. Perform three times. Inhaling, raise the right leg then clasp it in both hands and pull it toward you, keeping your head down. Take a few breaths. Now raise your chin to your shin and hold for one deep breath; then, exhaling, lower the head down. Take a few breaths.

The effectiveness of this seven day plan is that the food eaten burn more calories than they give to the body in caloric value.

This plan can be used as often as you like without any fear of complications. It is designed to flush your system of impurities and give you a feeling of well being. After seven days you will begin to feel lighter because you will be lighter by at least 10 lbs. You will have an abundance of energy and an improved disposition.

During the first seven days you must abstain from all alcohol

You must drink 10 glasses of water each day

Day One All fruits except bananas. Your first day will consist of all the fruits you want. It is strongly suggested that you consume lots of melons the first day. Especially watermelon and a loupe. If you limit your fruit consumption to melons, your chances of losing three lbs. on first day are very good.

Day Two All vegetables. You are encouraged to eat until you are stuffed with all the raw or cooked vegetables of your choice. There is no limit on the amount or type. For your complex carbohydrate, you will start day two with a large baked potato for breakfast. You may top the potato with one pat of butter.

Tomorrow morning you will be 10-17 lbs. lighter than one week ago. If you desire further weight loss, repeat the program again. You may repeat this program as often as you like, however, it is suggested that you are allowed two glasses of white wine in addition to the instructions on the program. You may substitute champagne for white wine. Under no circumstances are you to drink any other alcoholic beverages with the exception of beer which is allowed. Any liquor (bourbon, vodka, rum) is forbidden. Cream drinks are especially forbidden. You may have an occasional cordial such as creme de menthe or schnapps, but you must always limit yourself to two drinks. If you wine, drink only wine that day. If you have beer, drink only beer that day, etc. Alcohol adds empty calories to your diet. However, after the first week it will help your digestion and settle your stomach.

Wonder Soup

The following soup is intended as a supplement to your diet. It can be eaten any time of the day in virtually unlimited quantities. You are encouraged to consume large quantities of this soup.

28 oz, Water, 6 Large Onions, 2 Green Peppers, Whole Tomatoes (fresh or canned), 1 Head Cabbage, 1 Bunch Celery, 4 Envelopes Lipton Onion Soup Mix, Herbs and Flavouring as desired.

You have been given a recipe for the WONDER SOUP which can be eaten in unlimited quantities. This soup is a supplement while you are on the program and it should be a pleasure to eat. Not everyone likes cabbage, green peppers, Celery etc. This recipe is not inflexible. You may substitute vegetables according to your taste. You may add any vegetables you like: asparagus, peas, corn, turnips, green beans, cauliflower, etc. Try to stay away from beans (lima, pinto, kidney, etc.), however, because they tend to be high in calories even though they are very good for you.

Beverages you may consume while on the program :

Water (flavoured with lemon/lime if desired).
Club Soda is OK.

Black Coffee. No cream or cream substitute. No sugar or sweetness.

Black Tea = Herb or Leaf.

Absolutely nothing else except the fruit juices which are part of day seven. No fruit juices before day seven.

Water may help you to cut calories. Replacing high calorie beverages like coffee, tea and sodas with plain water can significantly reduce calories. Also, most of these beverages contain caffeine, acts as a diuretic, setting you up for dehydration. By the time you feel thirsty, you already are dehydrated" says Mara Z. Vitolins, Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center nutritionist and assistant professor of public health sciences (epidemiology).

How much water should one take?

One way to calculate how much you need is to take your weight in pounds and divide by two. The result is the number of ounces of water you should drink a day.

So a 125- pound woman needs to drink 62.5 ounces of water each day -- just a little more than five 12-ounce glasses, or three bottles of 20-ounce water. A 175-pound man would need five bottles of water.

So Drink Up!

Keep Walking.....
Just to check this out......
The Organs of your body have their sensory touches at the
bottom of your foot, if you massage these points you will find relief
from aches and pains as you can see the heart is on the left foot.

Typically they are shown as points and arrows to show which
organ it connects to.
It is indeed correct since the nerves connected to these
organs terminate here.
This is covered in great details in Acupressure studies or
textbooks.
God created our body so well that he thought of even this.
He made us walk so that we will always be pressing these pressure points
and thus keeping these organs activated at all times.

How to curl hair?

Why People Curl Hair?
Apart from the style quotient, curling is a great way to add body to any hair type and length, except when it’s really short. It’s one of those ‘ready wash and go’ hair styles that frees you from the hassles of blow-drying and setting. Moreover, there are so many varied curly hairstyles – tight curls, waves, maggi curls, etc. –that choosing one should not be difficult at all. You can either curl your hair by yourself at home or get the help of a professional from a good saloon.

Important Aspects One should be Aware of Prior Curling Hair
Your hair will refuse to take the curls if it’s colored. You will only end up spoiling your hair if you still get your colored / streaked hair curled. This is truer in the case of permanent hair curling.
Do not go for permanent curls (or perms) if your hair is weak. This is because weak hair cannot easily withstand hard chemicals used during curling. To find out if your hair is healthy or weak, put few strands in a glass of water. If they sink, it means your hair is weak because it is soaking up moisture.
Thick hairs take curls more easily than fine hairs.
The tightness of the curls will depend on the size of the curling rod.
Depending upon hair length and thickness, a permanent curly hairstyle will sustain for a minimum of two months and a maximum of six months.
How to Curl Straight Hair using Curling Iron?

While you can get your hair curled by a hair stylist, you can also choose to curl them at home. Just follow the instructions given below. The duration for curling hair can vary between 30 minutes and one hour depending upon the length and thickness of hair.

Things you will need:
Volumizing spray
Straightening balm (if you have thick, course hair)
Hair dryer
A one-inch barrel curling iron
Ponytail holder and bobby pins
Shine serum
Hairspray
Saltwater spray

How to Curl Your Hair? – The Process
After washing your hair, flip them upside down and spray volumizing hair-spray on roots. Massage it in. If your hair is rough, then apply a bit of straightening balm.
Gently brush your hair as it will work the hair products you just applied very evenly throughout. Blow dry them straight beginning from the roots adding volume. Alternate with cold air.

Part your hair into three sections, securing each with a ponytail holder. Next you will use a wide-barrel curling iron to curl your hair. So deal with one section at a time. Take neat bunches of hair now and sprit it with styling hair spray. To curl the hair, wrap it around the barrel of a curling rod.
Release the curl after about seven to ten minutes. Hold the hair in the curler for a longer duration if you want tighter ringlets. Alternating the direction will make the curl appear more natural. Once the pinned curls have cooled, free them from the curling iron.
Do not brush your hair. On the other hand, separate the curls with your fingers. To add shine, spray on some hair serum. Take care not to overdo the hairspray if do not want your curls to feel crunchy.

Winter Tips for Hair, Skin,Hands, Nails,Legs, Lips

Winter is just not about warm clothes, fireside reading, snuggling close to the pillows wrapped from head to toe with a comfy quilt. It is time to battle the cold winds that hampers your body and hair. A little care will keep the wintry troubles at bay.
Hair...
Before the winter winds can work havoc with your hair, expose your hair to deep conditioning. Since the cold weather causes to dry your hair, massage your hair in aloe Vera juice for a few minutes. This will restore its softness.

You can also treat your hair with oil massage once or twice a week Olive oil can work wonders in reinforcing moisture to your hair. Heat the oil before using and allow it to soak for a time lesser than the time you allot for the summer season. Too long a period of soaking hair in oil can get you ill. If you are used to treating your hair with herbal extracts or herbal oil do not soak it for a long time. Herbal ingredients are mostly cooling agents that are more suitable for the summer. Keep away from washing your hair too frequently.

Woolen clothing like hats, scarves and turtlenecks can cause damage to your hairline. Since they can cause breakage, first cover your hair with a silk scarf before exposing it to winter wraps.

It is the appropriate time for split ends to work their way up to the hair shafts. Hence trim your split ends.

Style your hair with a braid, twist or a knot. Try Keeping away from letting your hair open and wild, as the cold winds can play rough on your hair.

Avoid exposing your hair to frequent coloring, streaking, or ironing as they can rob your hair off its moisture and it is advisable to avoid heating appliances on your hair.

Expose your hair to natural drying. Keep away from blow dryers. If you have to use, use one with a hood.

Always cover your hair with a silk fabric to guard it from the chill winds.

Skin...
Your skin texture depends not only on external treatments, but also on the intake. A proper nutritious intake helps in rejuvenating the skin from within. Water plays an important role in keeping your skin alive. A good amount of water helps in retaining the moisture of your skin as well keeping skin disorders at bay. Fruits and vegetables in your daily diet release a lot of water to your system. Primrose syrup and olive oil in your diet also aids in softening your skin.

Use the paste of besan & ground green gram powder instead of soap to work your way to a soft and supple skin.

Pamper you skin with a little coconut oil before bath to heal dryness and chaps. Use a creamy soap that renders that extra suppleness to your skin.

Moisturizers and cold creams are a must in the winters. Apply some good cold cream on your face before going to bed. Moisten your skin with a good moisturizer or a creamy hand and body lotion. My best buy is ' Jergens' hand and body lotion.

Add a few drops of oil to the water that you are using to bath. This will help retain the moisture lost when bathing. Avoid using very hot water during winter as it can decrease the natural oils of your skin. Instead shorten your bath time.

Hands, legs and nails...
When treating your legs add a few drops of oil in the water that you use to soak them. With regards to hands, try using rubber gloves while immersing them in water. Use a base coat over your nails against the cold weather.

Lips...
A good petroleum jelly will be an effective cover over your lips against the cold weather. Butter is effective in curing chapped lips and render an extra softness.

So get ready to shield your body against the winter threats.

Childern Tips

Fix two small pieces of fine sandpaper onthe insides of pencilbox lids. This will allow the child to clean erasers in a jiffy.

1 tiny boiled potato given to the child at least 2-3 times a week is nutritious. Add seasoning or curds, but do not fry. Do a lot more good than fries.

2. Use old soft bedspreads to make soft sleepons for infants (the filling being layers of the bedspread and not polycotton or heavy cotton which has to be lined with plastic to keep dry.) Hygienic, easy to machine wash, safe and soft, and economical too.

3. Keep a good foodie kiddie chart for your kid in the dining room. Every time he eats well, add a colourful star or sticker of his/her favourite screen star, to give him a feeling of achievement. Works like magic with many kids.

4. Make dosas a little less crisp. Roll in any desired filling like a frankie. Add chutney or jam if desired. Make very tasty rolls for your kids' lunch box, with change from the routine sandwich too!!

5. If your griddle is large enough make many teeny weeny dosas instead of one big one. Top them with a bit of chutney and sandwich them. Kids enjoy these and eat them much less messily.

6. Try substituting kids' lunch bag with lemonade instead of water once or twice a week. They'll be thrilled.

7. Give a nice big bright star on your kiddies' room calender every day that he cleans out his lunch box fully!! See his enthusiasm soar.

8. For a children's party, make coloured ice-cubes by adding food colour to the water. Children love ice-crem, but it's quite expensive bought from the parlour. Instead, buy cones and make creamy inexpensive ice-cream at home (do not freeze fully). Fill in the cones and top with a cherry or grated chocolate.

9. Stick a strip of medicated plaster under the sole of your child's new shoes. He will not slip on a slippery floor.

six week for a flat stomach

Great-looking abs are more than just a way to support the mirror industry. In fact, strong abs and flat stomachs are the ultimate indicator of overall health-for both men and women. Great abs will help you live longer, sleep better, prevent back pain, and significantly improve your sex life! (And, hey, they don’t look half-bad in the mirror, either.) Unfortunately, you could spend years on starvation diets and extreme exercise programs that never unearth those elusive stomach muscles.

Stock or MutualFunds

If you happen to have some money left over at the end of all the bill payments and you have no need for anymore toys, or even if you are beginning a prudent and fiscally responsible gamble on some wealth that incorporates investment opportunities, you may find yourself wondering whether investing in stocks or purchasing mutual funds will offer the best returns. You might also consider this question when considering how to set up a retirement fund.

In order to help make the decision, it is important to understand what stocks and mutual funds are.

Stocks: Most people believe they have a basic understanding of what stocks are, simply because of their exposure to the term in every day usages. Stocks are individual bits of companies that are available to be purchased by the public in open trading on the stock exchange. Stocks are often sold in bundles, and thus to purchase a stock in a specific company often entails some kind of minimum purchase. Stockholders have a vested interest in the company’s well-being, as the price of their stocks are directly related to a company’s performance. Stocks are divided according to the kind of business they represent, which is known as a sector.

Mutual Funds: Mutual funds are collective investments that pools the money from a lot of investors and puts the money in stocks, bonds, and other investments. Mutual funds are usually managed by a certified professional, as opposed to the individual management of stocks. In essence, mutual funds incorporate many different types of stocks.

The question of whether or not to invest in stocks or mutual funds will primarily come down to the personal expertise and wealth of the individual. Many people will be tempted by the “game” aspect of buying stock, as well as the chance to invest singularly in a company that is well-known or can be easily researched. The fact is, however, that by the time stocks become available on the market they are generally already highly priced, and investing in individual stocks is a highly risky maneuver as your entire process hangs on the well-being of just one company. Even wealthy investors diversify their portfolios by investing in several different types of stock, and this can simply be unaffordable for the average person.

The better bet for the beginning investor is to purchase mutual funds. Mutual funds will pool the costs of many different stocks, lessening the risk of losing your money and raising the chances of gain. Mutual funds may not provide quite the excitement of investing in a lucky stock, but they are good investments for a long-term financial opportunity. In addition, mutual funds are managed by professionals that are well acquainted with the pitfalls and opportunities of the investment sector, which will cut down on both risk and the time it would take to pick individual stocks through research and appointments. Mutual funds will also distribute the risks among several investors, and it is all managed by someone who likely has contacts within the financial world.

For the individual with some extra money, who does not have the time or the expertise to properly “play” the stock market, mutual funds will prove the better option.

Adwords

So many people ask me about starting an AdWords campaign. They say, "I have no idea what this is going to cost, how many impressions I'll get, or what will work. I have a product that will bring a $30 commission, what should my cost per click be?"

Here's what I tell them: "$29.99, and that's if you're getting 100% conversion." Of course, that won't happen in the Internet marketing arena, so what can you spend? That's the ultimate question. What are you willing to take and just flush down the toilet? Make sense?

It may and it may not. It depends on how new to the Internet marketing business world you are, and how well you know how AdWords works. So, let's make this clear. If you want to advertise your business using Google AdWords, you have to decide how your Internet marketing business can afford to drop every day, until your AdWords campaign becomes viable.

You may be thinking, I can't waste any money right now. If that's true, then you probably shouldn't be messing around with AdWords. There are so many other ways to advertise in Internet marketing, without using AdWords, and many of them are free. So, wait until you have the wherewithal to lose some money, and then, you should set a very specific budget for that kind of advertising.

But for this illustration, let's figure that you can just flush away some money. But you have to first decide what your advertising budget is for your Internet marketing business, and what percentage of that you're willing to spend on AdWords. It might be $100 a day, or it might be $3, but whatever that amount is, you set your AdWords daily budget at that figure.

Just remember that you'll get fewer impressions with the lowest amounts, and fewer click-throughs. It's possible that it will take a long time to see your ad circulated enough to do any evaluation of how well your ad works. But let's just say that your daily budget is $50. You can just dump that $50 a day, and it won't put a dent in your Internet marketing business, right? So, let's just say that you only get clicks that cost you $10 a day for 7 days. You have $40 a day left over that you didn't spend. OK, then, for the next seven days, you can boost your daily rate to $90 to see what happens.

Eventually, with a lot of testing and tracking, you'll find a sweet spot. Your ad will be getting impressions and you'll be getting clicks. It just takes time. You have to continually monitor the campaign and tweak it until it becomes profitable. A good ebook to read to get you into this game is Perry Marshall's The Definitive Guide to AdWords. Get it and use what you learn inside.

Though my answer here may seem cloudy, it's the truth. Nobody can tell you what your cost-per-click should be. Spend as much as your Internet marketing business can afford on AdWords and not a single cent more. When you see that the campaign is starting to work, you may change your strategy and spend more on AdWords. It just depends on how quickly you make changes and move forward. Just never become depressed or upset at how this is going. You have to keep moving ahead.

Here is the key to success. Never give up. Just don't put expensive demands on your Internet marketing business's budget to the point that you're way in over your head. Your Internet marketing business will fail or you'll be stuck paying huge credit card debts for years. If you don't understand the system fully, learn it before jumping in head first. Be a little conservative, and plan your AdWords campaign wisely.

The Traffic Power

Newsletter publishers turn to article directories to find much needed content. These sites allow ezine publishers to reprint any listed article in their newsletter for free. All they have to do is give the author credit for the article and include a link back to the author's site. They do this by including a resource box at the end of each article.

The resource box that tells the reader about you and includes a link back to your site is just the starting point for ways you gain traffic through article marketing. Other ways include:

1. Being a published author boosts your credibility. Just because you don't receive direct monetary compensation for your articles does not mean you can't refer to yourself as a published author. If article directory sites are posting your articles online, you are an author. When you're an author, you're considered both an expert and an authority figure. People trust published experts more easily than they would an unknown source.

2. Unexpected traffic spikes can occur months after you publish your article. On many directory sites, your article remains in the active database for six months to a year after you post it. Then it's moved to the archives but still accessible to those searching for content in your niche. An ezine publisher could come across your article months after you publish it, send it to his list and consequently send lots of unexpected traffic to you.

3. Steady streams of traffic can come your way for years. Others in your niche may like your article so much that they post in on their websites and keep it there for years. Because you have that resource box, you get recognized as the expert author and have a perpetual link that feeds you a steady stream of targeted prospects.

4. You are able to utilize the highly trafficked directory sites. Millions of visitors search directory sites every month. This gives you massive exposure to a wide audience of traffic you didn't have to pay for.

5. You can advertise your site for FREE. If your marketing budget is zero, this is a great way to get the word out about who you are and what you have to offer. The articles cost nothing to post, and that free post comes with an ad for your site.

6. Expand your market reach. Each article you post gives you a chance to reach people who would otherwise never hear your message. This can come from newsletter publishers sending your article to their lists or just regular people searching for information about your topic in the directory database.

7. You get to pre-sell your products. With an informative article, you can turn skeptical readers from cold to sold. Had these people seen a regular advertisement for your product, they might have ignored you. But since you've given them a taste of who you are and what you know, they're willing to at least listen to your sales message and perhaps even respond with a buying decision.

8. Articles help you attract new joint venture partners. Ezine publishers who find your articles may want to partner with you once they read your information. So instead of just emailing their list your article, they would endorse your products. And that means higher conversion rates and more money in your bank account.

9. You increase your link popularity. Every article you post in a directory gives you a free link to your site. As others pickup your article and publish it on their sites, you get more links. The more links you have, the more popular you are with the search engines. Especially if those links come from sites with high page ranks. A link from a site ranked six on the Google 0-10 scale is worth much more than a link from a site ranked two.

10. You improve your search engine rank. When you combine your increasing link popularity with the keyword usage in your articles, you gain importance in the eyes of the major search engines. Your own page rank grows, as does your place in the ranking of the searches for the keywords you use.

11. Your perceived value and prestige in your niche grows. You can have your article published alongside the gurus in your niche. This automatically makes your information appear more valuable and brings with it a sense of prestige no other form of marketing can deliver.

With article marketing, the traffic power just keeps on multiplying.
